Growing Baby's newborn care section will cover a variety of topics to help you learn more about basic baby care, what to expect in the early weeks with your baby and to become familiar with newborn emotional and physical needs.
* All classes come with a prenatal information package.
* Please note that payment for prenatal classes are due as soon as possible. Payment secures your spot. Please note that payments made by personal cheque or paypal need time to clear.

Breastfeeding
Growing Baby's breastfeeding section will provide you and your partner with information about the basics of breastfeeding and how to have a successful start.
* This breastfeeding class is instructed by a certified Lactation Educator

In Growing Baby's Newborn care & Breastfeeding class:
* Practice swaddling and changing diapers
* Practice different breastfeeding positions such as football/clutch hold, cross crade and cradle
* Learn about newborn massage techniques that can help with gas, constipation, colic, muscle tone, circulation, healing, digestion, body awareness and more!
* Learn about different types of pumps and where to rent or buy pumps
* Learn about baby safety including: Signs of illness and sleeping safety
* Learn about hunger cues and signs that you baby is getting enough
* Learn the language of babies & how they communicate as well as normal newborn appearance. Take some time during our class to check out our newborn appearance & social development charts.

You can take just the prenatal class (childbirth preparation) or you can take just the newborn care and breastfeeding prenatal class. You also have the option of taking the group prenatal class package deal.
